Many of you have seen this locomotive sitting out on Rte 20 next to Joe Merli Manufacturing along with many other what appear to be derelict vehicles and structures.  What you may not know is that all of these rescued items are going to be part of the Canal St Station Market and Railroad Village.  Joe Merli who is a very talented guy and local businessman is building a unique and interesting venue to relive those days in our history that have been dwindling rapidly from memory.  As part of the 2012 Canal St Station Fall Festival to be held September 29th from 10:30-5:00 & the 30th from 10:30-4:00, Desolation Road Studios is issuing a call to artists and crafters to be a part of the festivities.  This two day event will be a great opportunity to display and sell your work for a nominal fee.  Each 10 X 10 booth will cost just $30.00.  You must have a tent to participate as this is a rain or shine event.  To participate please call Jim Miller @ 518-608-4749.  Along with your fellow artists and crafters, there will be an Antique Car & Hot Rod Show,  an Early Gas Engine Demo, a Blacksmithing Demo, Tinsmithing, Food Vendors, a Farmers Market, with Fresh Produce and Bread & Jams available for purchase. There will be a Chicken BBQ by Barbeque Delights Catering as well!
